Project Background
Dsquared2 is an Italian brand created by a pair of Canadian brothers, known for its bold experiments with new colors, cuts, and materials to craft eye-catching styles. The brand conveys a fashion philosophy of being 'open, fun, brave, and unconstrained.' In Dsquared2's FW23 Capsule Collection, they debuted a collaboration with PAC-MAN, the iconic arcade game character beloved since the 1980s.
The collection spans menswear, womenswear, and childrenswear, featuring vibrant graphics of PAC-MAN, the Ghost Gang, and computer-style fruit, alongside Dsquared2’s signature orange and yellow logos. To further encourage user engagement with this exciting new line in a fun way and boost the brand’s social media impact, Byten21 has brought an engaging social gaming experience to Dsquared2 using AR technology.
Project Implementation
We have recreated a retro and fun social AR Mini Game based on Pac-Man on both TikTok and Instagram. Developed using Spark AR and Effect House, the game features a user-friendly UI, along with brand graphics, animations, and interactive elements that capture the essence of the FW23 Pac-Man collection. Drawing inspiration from the classic arcade game, the game challenges users to collect items from the latest Dsquared2 clothing line.
